POST /search_bing • Credits: 1 credit per call
Bing Search runs one web search on Bing and returns the ranked results as JSON. The response holds a data.results array with the title, destination URL, description and rank position of each result. Each call costs 1 credit, whatever the number of results in the response.
What does Bing Search do?
Bing Search answers the question "which pages does Bing return for this query?" in one HTTP call. The endpoint reads the public Bing result page for the query text and parses each organic result. It returns the destination URL of each result, not the Bing tracking link. Bing Search accepts the standard Bing operators, such as site:, intitle: and a quoted phrase. Bing Search needs no Bing account, no Azure subscription and no search contract. One RichAPI key covers the whole flow.

Which parameters does Bing Search accept?
Parameter | Type | Required | Default | Description |
| string | Yes | None | The search text. The value accepts the Bing operators, such as |
| integer | Yes |
| The number of results on one page. The accepted range is 1 to 50. |
| integer | No |
| The result page to read. The accepted range is 1 to 20. |
Bing Search accepts these three fields and rejects every other field. An unknown field returns a 400 error that names the field and lists the supported fields.
CAUTION: Set limit and page in every request. The stored default of both parameters is 0, and the search service rejects 0 with a 422 error.
Which name does the Bing Search request body use for the result count?
Bing Search accepts the result count under the name limit. A request body that holds num_results returns a 400 error. Send limit.
The RichAPI dashboard, the automation editor, the n8n node and the MCP tool take the same three names as the request body.
How do limit and page select the result set?
Bing Search reads one page of Bing results per call. The limit parameter sets the size of that page. The page parameter selects which page the endpoint reads. The first Bing result of a page is 1 + (page - 1) * limit. The position field restarts at 1 in every response, so the rank is relative to the page.
|
| First Bing result | Credits |
10 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
10 | 2 | 11 | 1 |
25 | 3 | 51 | 1 |
50 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
The credit count is 1 in every row of the table. A deep page costs the same as the first page.

How does the Bing Search cache work?
Bing Search reads a shared result cache on every call. The request body holds no cache parameter, and the cache is on for every request. The cache key is the query value, the result count and the page number. A stored result stays valid for 1 hour. The meta.cache_hit field reports the source of each response. A cached call costs 1 credit, the same as a live call. For a fresh result inside the hour, change the query text or the limit value, because a new key misses the cache.
How do you find the official website of a company with Bing Search?
A company list often holds a name and no domain. Bing Search turns the name into a ranked URL list, and the top organic result is the company site in most cases.
Build the
queryvalue from the company name and one word from its market.Set
limitto10andpageto1.Send the Bing Search request.
Read the
urlfield of each result in rank order.Drop the results on the directory hosts, such as
linkedin.comandcrunchbase.com.Take the first remaining URL as the company site.
Send that URL to the Website Intelligence endpoint for the company record.
One lookup costs 1 credit, or $0.02. A list of 500 companies costs 500 credits, or $10.00.
How do you find recent news about a company with Bing Search?
A news monitor needs no news contract and no press feed. Bing Search returns the same articles that a Bing visitor sees, and the date_published field carries the date that Bing shows.
Build the
queryvalue from the company name and a news word, such asfundingoracquisition.Set
limitto25andpageto1.Send one request per company, once per day.

A daily news check over 50 companies costs 50 credits per day, or $1.00. That is 1,500 credits per month, or $30.00.
CAUTION: Bing Search caches a result for 1 hour. A repeat of the same query, limit and page inside that hour returns the stored result and still costs 1 credit.
How much does Bing Search cost?
Bing Search costs 1 credit per call. 1 credit costs $0.02 on the 1,000 and 5,000 credit packs. Larger packs cost less per credit. The credit count does not change with the number of results. A call that returns 50 results and a call that returns none both cost 1 credit.
Calls | Credits | Cost |
1 | 1 | $0.02 |
100 | 100 | $2.00 |
1,000 | 1,000 | $20.00 |
10,000 | 10,000 | $200.00 |
How does the price of Bing Search compare with the Google Search Scraper?
Bing Search bills 1 credit per call. The Google Search Scraper endpoint bills 0.2 credits per organic result in its response. At 5 results the two cost the same.
Endpoint | Billing unit | Credits for 10 results | Cost |
Bing Search, | 1 credit per call | 1 | $0.02 |
Google Search Scraper, | 0.2 credits per organic result | 2 | $0.04 |
The difference grows with depth. One Bing Search call returns up to 50 links for 1 credit, and the Google Search Scraper bills each organic result that it returns. At 1,000 searches of 10 results each, Bing Search costs 1,000 credits, or $20.00, and the Google Search Scraper costs 2,000 credits, or $40.00.

Frequently asked questions
How many results does one Bing Search call return?
One Bing Search call returns between 1 and 50 results, under the control of the limit parameter. A narrow query can return fewer results than the requested number.
Does Bing Search cost more for more results?
No. Bing Search costs 1 credit per call at every result count. A call for 50 results and a call for 5 results both cost 1 credit, or $0.02.
Is Bing Search cheaper than the Google Search Scraper?
Above 5 results, yes. Bing Search bills 1 credit per call, and the Google Search Scraper bills 0.2 credits per organic result. Bing Search costs less for plain links, because one call returns up to 50 results for 1 credit.
Why does a request with only a query field fail?
The stored default of limit and page is 0, and the search service accepts 1 to 50 and 1 to 20. A request without both parameters returns a 422 error. Send limit and page in every request.
Can you send a num_results or a cache field to Bing Search?
No. Bing Search accepts query, limit and page. Any other field returns a 400 error that names the field. Send the result count in limit.
Does Bing Search need a Bing or Azure account?
No. Bing Search needs only your RichAPI key in the x-api-key header. It consumes no Azure quota and needs no search contract with Microsoft.
How do you read result 11 to result 20 of a query?
Set limit to 10 and page to 2. Bing Search reads the second page of the Bing results, and the response starts at Bing result 11.
Does a cached Bing Search call cost a credit?
Yes. A cached call costs 1 credit, the same as a live call. The meta.cache_hit field reports true for a response that came from the cache.
