Transaction History, Receipts, and Payment Methods

Written by Kadri - RichAPI Support Team

The Plans & Billing page of the RichAPI dashboard shows the Transaction History table and the Manage Payment Method card. The table lists the last 50 credit additions of the organization, newest first. The card opens the Stripe billing portal, where you can change or remove the card on file.

How do I open Transaction History?

  1. Open the dashboard and select the workspace.

  2. In the sidebar, open Usage & Billing.

  3. Select Plans & Billing.

  4. Scroll to the Transaction History section at the bottom of the page.

The section heading shows the row count, for example 12 entries. If the workspace holds no credit addition at all, the table shows No purchases yet. Buy credits above to get started.

Every member of a workspace can read Transaction History. The table needs no owner role.

What does each column in Transaction History show?

Transaction History records the credits that entered the workspace. The table records no credit spend. For spend, read Tracking Credit Usage and Billing.

The table sorts by date, newest first, and stops at 50 rows. The table has no page control and no filter.

Amount Paid shows an em dash for a row that cost nothing. Receipt shows an em dash for a row with no stored receipt link.

What do the transaction types mean?

The Type column carries one of the values below.

An auto-reload charge records as Purchase, so the Auto Reload label does not show today. To tell the two apart, read the Receipt column. A manual purchase carries a Receipt link, and an auto-reload row carries an em dash.

A Stripe refund adds a second Purchase row with a negative credit count. The reversal is in proportion to the refunded amount.

Who gets the 100 free trial credits?

RichAPI grants 100 free trial credits one time for each user, for all time. The grant lands in the first workspace that the user creates. A second workspace of the same user receives no grant, because the grant belongs to the user and not to the workspace.

How do I download a receipt for a credit purchase?

  1. Open Usage & Billing > Plans & Billing.

  2. Scroll to Transaction History.

  3. Find the row by its date and its amount.

  4. Select Receipt in the last column. The browser opens the Stripe receipt in a new tab.

  5. Print the receipt, or save it as a PDF from the browser.

The Receipt link points to the Stripe receipt for that charge. Stripe hosts the receipt page, and RichAPI stores the link at the moment that Stripe confirms the payment.

For a full invoice list, open the Stripe billing portal from the Manage Payment Method card.

Why does a row show no receipt?

Row

Why the receipt is absent

What to do

A Trial row

RichAPI charged nothing for the trial grant.

No receipt exists.

A Bonus row or a Cashback row

RichAPI granted the credits and charged nothing.

No receipt exists.

An auto-reload row

RichAPI charges the saved card without a checkout, so it stores no receipt link.

Open the Stripe billing portal. If the charge is absent there, write to [email protected].

A refund reversal row

The row reverses credits and carries no charge.

Find the refund in the Stripe billing portal.

A manual purchase row

Stripe returned no receipt link at payment time.

Write to [email protected] with the date and the amount.

How do I open the Stripe billing portal?

  1. Open Usage & Billing > Plans & Billing.

  2. Find the Manage Payment Method card near the top of the page.

  3. Select Open Billing Portal. The dashboard redirects the browser to Stripe.

  4. Change the card, or read the invoice list, in the portal.

  5. Select the return link in the portal. Stripe returns the browser to the Plans & Billing page.

Only an organization owner can open the billing portal. For other members, the button is disabled.

The card carries this text: Update your card, view invoices, and manage billing details in the Stripe portal.

RichAPI Manage Payment Method Card

How do I change or remove the card on file?

  1. Open the Stripe billing portal from the Manage Payment Method card.

  2. Add the new card in the payment method section of the portal.

  3. Set the new card as the default card.

  4. Remove the old card.

  5. Return to the Plans & Billing page.

RichAPI charges the default card of the organization for every auto-reload. After a credit pack purchase completes in Stripe Checkout, RichAPI sets that card as the default card.

CAUTION: Do not remove the last card while auto-reload is on. Without a default card, RichAPI runs no reload charge and the balance stays the same.

A card change alters no credit balance. The credits that a workspace already owns stay in the balance.

What happens when a card is declined?

Where the decline happens

What RichAPI does

What you see

Stripe Checkout, during a manual purchase

RichAPI adds no credits and writes no row.

Stripe shows the decline in the checkout page. Enter another card.

An auto-reload charge, away from the browser

RichAPI adds no credits, writes no row, and sends no email.

The balance stays the same. Calls return 402 once the balance reaches zero.

After a declined auto-reload, RichAPI starts no new reload for 24 hours. The next try comes with the first successful billable call after that.

To correct a declined auto-reload, open the Stripe billing portal and set a working card as the default. For the full auto-reload rules, read Enabling Auto-Reload for Credits.

Do RichAPI credits expire?

RichAPI credits do not expire. The organization balance carries no expiry date, and no row in Transaction History carries one. RichAPI runs no task that clears an unspent balance.

Question

Answer

Does a credit expire after 30 days?

No.

Does a billing cycle rollover clear the balance?

No.

Do the 100 trial credits expire?

No.

Does an unused credit pack expire after a year?

No.

Does a card removal clear the balance?

No.

Why does a purchase not show in Transaction History?

The credits arrive through a Stripe payment event, and not through the browser. After Stripe Checkout, the browser returns to the Plans & Billing page, sometimes before the payment event arrives. If the new row is missing, reload the page after a few seconds.

Open Usage & Billing > Plans & Billing in the RichAPI dashboard, scroll to Transaction History, and select Receipt on the row. The link opens the Stripe receipt for that charge in a new tab.

Do RichAPI credits expire?

RichAPI credits never expire. The organization balance carries no expiry date, and RichAPI clears no unspent balance at the end of a billing cycle.

How many transactions does RichAPI Transaction History show?

RichAPI Transaction History shows the last 50 credit additions of a workspace, newest first. For an older record, write to [email protected] with the workspace name and the date range.

Why does my RichAPI auto-reload charge have no receipt link?

An auto-reload charges the saved card away from the browser, so RichAPI stores no receipt link for that row. Find the charge in the Stripe billing portal, or write to [email protected].

How do I remove a card from RichAPI?

A RichAPI user gets 100 free trial credits one time, for all time. The grant lands in the first workspace that the user creates, and a second workspace of that user gets no grant.
